I spent my final hours in Australia out to dinner with sam’s parents and friends, and it was a really good time. However then it was back to reality, packing, and getting ready to head home to the cold =[ …

I got home last night and slept until about 1 today. Pathetic I know, but I already feel adjusted to Central time so it’s all good. I got pretty good rest on my trip home surprisingly. When I went to board the plane out of Brisbane, AUS the little screen flashed “NOW ABLE TO BOARD AT THE TIME” and I got a little worried considering it was the “final boarding call” and I didn’t really have time to sort a situation. Next thing I know, after a little fiddling with the computers, the agents are issuing me a new ticket and inform me that I have been upgraded. I thought that was pretty cool until I went to actually take my seat and then I thought it was AWESOME! It was basically first class but not called it. Needless to say, I watched lots of movies comfortably and slept like a baby. Then, upon my arrival to LAX, I figured it was going to take me a while to get through everything and hopefully waste some of my 7 hour layover…but no, I went straight through customs, got my bags first, and headed right on out of the international terminal. I quickly brainstormed some things I could do in 7 hours in LA, and realized my buddy Alyssa lived about 15 minutes from the airport, so I called her. Next thing I knew I was leaving the airport to get some lunch and catch up with a good buddy for a few hours. Then it was back to the airport for the usual routine (except a 30459834052394857 people long check-in and security line) and off to Minnesota. My mom came and got me, I got an early night in and rested up in order to hopefully decrease the jet lag. Now I am I am up and at ‘em though and am putting my bike together and going for a spin….on the wind trainer, definitely not outside in the 2 degree weather =]
