Redline/Troy Lee Team @ Manchester National Round 3
It’s round 3 of the British Cycling Bmx race series and it’s back up north to Manchester’s Indoor Bmx cycling centre. Sun is shining, Redline/Troy Lee Team HQ assembled.
Saturday was cruiser and Supercross racing. World Champion cruiser rider Alan Hill sailed into the 40-44yr cruiser final and came 2nd place. Final round of the Saturday evening Supercross series and yet another good turn out of riders from Europe and UK. Redline/Troy Lee rider Cal Strickland made it to the final and rolled over the line in 6th place.
Sunday was 20” time, Masters rider Alan Hill was first up in a class that gets harder and harder each year, after a poor start on the first straight Alan pull some tight corner moves and managed to stay 5th to the line. Championship Women and Ayesha McLelland had a better round this weekend and made the main final and placed 6th. Elite men is another class that is stacked and Cal Strickland was looking strong in the moto’s, gate dropped on the 8m start hill and with a good first straight and in 4th but went to wide on turn 2 and end with a respectable 5th place.
Next race @ Birmingham April 21st-22nd
