Just days after competing in the Dew Tour in Ocean City, Maryland Brandon Dosch switched coasts and found himself in Los Angeles, California for his second X Games appearance. The weather was perfect during park eliminations, which was a welcomed change from the hot and humid East Coast.

This year’s concrete park was tight, technical, and super fast, and the competition was exactly what you’d expect at X Games—top-notch. The riders only got a few days to practice on the difficult setup, and they had to share that little bit of practice time with 20 other riders, but Brandon still somehow managed to find lines that no one else touched.

The jam format made for a pretty laid back vibe during the contest, and Brandon packed as many things into his runs as he possibly could including gaps and transfers, whip variations, and ambidextrous spinning combos, just to name a few—all with his signature full-throttle style.

Just getting an invitation to the world’s most prestigious contest is an accomplishment in itself, and at the end of the day Brandon ended up in a respectable 16th place. B.Dosch had a good time in L.A., but he’s already thinking about the next stop of the Dew Tour in just two weeks where he’ll get to try to defend his year end Dew Cup title on the dirt course in Portland.
