Cyclo-cross Nationals Day one report:

Dan Norton the “Yoda of Seattle Cyclo-Cross” went out and rode his Redline Conquest Team to victory in the Master men’s 60-64 race at ‘Cross nationals in Bend. OR.

Dan rode very clean, never pitted and was perfect in his execution of proper power application on a technically tricky course.

Like Yoda Dan always exhibits “Try not. Do or do not, there is no try.”

— Yoda

Dan started on the front row as all reigning champions do, sped away to about third spot coming off the first corner and was in second place by the first pit. After the first lap Dan separated himself from his competition and methodically built his margin of victory to 30 seconds. Dan then enjoyed the final lap and carefully made sure to be clean on every corner. This is Dan’s 14th National championship onboard a Redline Cyclo-cross bike, a streak few other companies can ever come close to.
