Redline/Troy Lee @ Manchester Round 2
Round 2 of the UK National Bmx race series and the Redline/Troy Lee team hit the National Bmx Centre at Manchester, and with a record entry of 850 riders from all over the UK and Europe racing was going to be hard and fast.
Racing was split into 2 days and Saturday was cruiser and Supercross action, Redline/Troy Lee rider Alan Hill looked strong in his moto’s in 40-44 cruiser and sailed into the final, but after leading all the way to the last straight Alan got caught out and crashed and had to settle for 8th place.
Saturday evening was Bmx Supercross racing and 47 riders registered from all over the world. Redline/Troy Lee Elite rider Cal Strickland made it to the semi’s but went out with a 7th place.
Sunday was the turn of the twenty inch bikes and Alan Hill did not disappoint, still battered and bruised from his crash on Saturday Alan rolled in 3rd place in a crazy Masters class. Championship Women’s class was just as crazy with some world class riders, Ayesha McLelland made it into the semi even after crashing in moto 2, but went out in the semi and had to settle for 3rd in the B-final.
Redline UK would like to thank it’s sponsors Troy Lee Designs, Tioga, Tacx, Airace
