Redline is pleased to announce it’s sponsorship of top New England Pro Mountain bike racer Justin Lindine to race in several endurance mountain bike events this year.  Justine is currently in South Africa to race in the Absa Cape Epic team MTB event on the Redline D680 29er mountain bike.  The Cape Epic event is a unique team event where two racers work together over eight stages and cover 800 kilometers.

All riders must enter as a two-rider team. Teams register in one of four different categories that include Men, Ladies, Mixed and Masters.  The riders in a team must remain together at all times during the race and are expected to reach the finish line by 17h00 daily. At each stage, the winners of the day receive prizes and the leaders in the overall classification are awarded their leader jerseys.
Justin and Jason Sager are “teaming up” to race in the UCI Open men’s division,  racing for World Bicycle Relief, the team’s goal is to raise funds and awareness for the World Bicycle Relief organization. The team will be competing in custom Cape Epic 2012 World Bicycle Relief commemorative kits designed by Mt. Borah clothing.
Arriving in Cape Town Tuesday, March 20th, the team will open their legs after the transcontinental journey by participating in Christoph Sauser’s charity exhibition mountain bike race on Wednesday in Stellenbosch.

"Racing for World Bicycle Relief programs gives us a purpose" said Sager. "Our goal is to raise awareness, and money, to support the WBR and their Bicycles for Educational Empowerment Program, as well as through their partnerships with and Qhubeka/Wildlands Conservation Trust there in South Africa, which actually build and distribute the Buffalo bikes in South Africa. Leaving bikes behind as a product of our fans’ donations is one of the most tangible changes you can have on a community."
