Today was practice and it went pretty good for me. I got used to my new smaller size redline real quick…after only two days of riding it this week =/….i have good reason for that though! Since Guthrie I have been heavily focused on my gymnastics. Our team ended up getting second in state and I did well individually also. I placed 3rd on vault (by a tie breaker), 2nd on bars (judge said I would have won if I had stuck the landing better), and would have won floor if i had qualified out of my section meet for it..(i messed up at the state qualifying meet on floor but still competed it for the all around and had the highest score at state =[….oh well though, i told my coach i dont need a medal to prove that i had the best floor routine of my life to end my gymnastics career) anyways, as for the beam… this event probably cost me the all around championship. I made it all the way through my beam routine pretty clean (probably good enough to place top three) and then some freakish fluke happened and i missed my feet on my DISMOUNT!! I ended up faceplanting and just having a HUGE deduction because of all the requirement my dismount gets me. But I surprisingly ended up 4th in the all around anyway and really didn’t have much to complain about. Gymnastics is now over, probably for good for me since I am a senior and will probably not do it in college, and it’s pretty saddening for me. The bright side is that I will get to focus on racing for the first time in my life though!! haha, I have track season coming up but it’s not nearly the same commitment as gymnastics for me and that will give me the chance to finally put all my efforts toward bmx and give it everything I got. I am excited for that.

Back to practice though. I felt good on the track, hit every part of it pretty smoothe and it feels good to be outdoors again. I am excited for the uci event tomorrow…we should actually have a jr elite class for once so we’ll have to see how that pans out.

Gotta hit the hay though, I’ll update ya tomorrow!
