The UK Redline Team headed to Gosport for rounds 9 & 10 of the British BMX Series over the weekend. This was Gosports Bmx Club’s first national event held on a newly refurbished track and was looking good. Also Redline’s rider Ayesha’s home track.

Day 1

Saturday morning was looking very cloudy with rain threatening, but this didn’t dampen the spirits of the Redline team we all knew we had to get some good results to get higher in the team rankings.

Alan Hill started the finals with his first win in 35-39 cruiser and possibly the No.1 title. Travis Wilson came in with a good 3rd place. With home track advantage Ayesha McLelland battled hard in the final against Charlotte Green and was a close race all the way with Ayesha coming 2nd. Jacob Roberts was having a tough day on the track and making small mistakes and went to high in the 2nd berm leaving room for Jordan Perry to take his first national win and Jacob 2nd. Alan Hill finished the day with another win in Masters making a double win on the day.

Valerie Zebrokova 3rd in 13-14yr

Abi Hill 4th in 25+ cruiser

Day 2

Sunday was looking a lot better with a refreshed team ready

Alan Hill again started the finals with the first win of the day with no one challenging him from start to finished. Jacob Roberts with a new race head on lead the final from the start and wasn’t going to let anyone past, with 9 out of 10 national wins Jacob secured the National No.1 title for 2010 with 2 rounds still to do. Valerie Zebrokova had a better day and battled hard right from the start to take another national win.
