Salt Lake City: The infamous Rad Canyon track was the site of this years’ ABA 4th o’ July BMX explosion, and the racing was smokin’ hot like the lit fuse on an M-80. Come main-time, the World’s best were blastin’ – including our Redline heroes.

On day one, Factory REDLINE filled 2 of the 8 lanes in the mains – coincidentally, with one Aussie and one American.

In Elite Women: Alise was tearin’ it up all day and wound up with yet another win. After her 2nd place finish on Sunday in Rockford, her 5-win streak had been broken. And coming in to Utah, she told us her plans for starting a new win-streak. And that she did.

In Elite Men: Sam Willoughby text’d us right after the main – and said that he holeshotted the main, but had "The Machine" right on his heels. Maris managed to get by, and Sam battled back, making it a grip-to-grip, axlebolt-to-axlebolt sprint to the finishline. … Sam wound up getting beat "by an inch, he tells us.

Mark our Aussie friend down for the 2-spot.

In Elite Men: After losing the win by mere centimeters the day before, those who know Sam Willoughby know all too well that he doesn’t like losing … especially by such a narrow margin. And you can bet that he’ll come back the next day on a mission. Again – in the main event, he was up against the Olympic Gold medalist in the 1/2 Foreign, 1/2 American finale. Only this time, Sam got the snap and held on to it start to finish:
