With the ABA now splitting the Womens Pro class by age (according to UCi rules) – the battle for the No.1 title is going to be extremely tight come November. So far this year, REDLINE’s Alise Post has been dominating the older Elite Women class, while her arch rival Dom Daniels does the same in Junior Elite.
But this weekend, in DeSoto for the USA Cycling "National" Champs – they went head-to-head due to all Jr Elite competition staying home to gear-up for Madrid.
In DeSoto, Texas – "The Beast" added two more Elite Women victories to her point standing, and might’ve even scored a stars ‘n bars jersey by technicality. Since a class didn’t make for Jr Women, triple-D wound up moving up in to the Elite ranks – where she took Saturday’s win, with Alise stickin’ like glue to her back tire. But under USAC rules, the patriotic USA Champ jersey may be given instead to the highest placing Elite rider – Alise. …we’ll see.
