Hello friends and family of Alise Post and Joel, Eli and Colleen Stark-Haws,
I urge you to "Accept the Challenge" and support the MS Society by either making a donation or attending the 1st Annual BMX "MS Race For the Cure" this Monday, Memorial Day, 5/31 beginning at 12:00-NOON at Pineview Park BMX in St. Cloud. This 1st ever event of it’s kind, will hosted by Alise, Mark and myself along with all the great volunteers of Pineview Park BMX.
Alise will fly home specifically to host this event after a weekend of national racing to enjoy some time with the Stark-Haws family and her Pineview Park BMX family to help raise as much money possible to help find a cure for MS and support Colleen, who has a daily fight with a very progressive form of MS. She went from walking to her current orange and black "Tiger Pride" wheelchair within a year.
Both Alise and the Stark-Haws family, the inspiration behind this important event, will be at Pineview Park BMX on Memorial Day!
All proceeds from registration, concessions, donations and an awesome raffle with the coolest prizes will benefit the MS Society.
***Highlights of the incredible raffle include BMX jerseys, goggles, plates, gear and memorabilia from 2008 Olympians Gold medalist Maris Strombergs, Bronze medalist Donny Robinson and finalist Jared Graves and 2012 Olympic Hopefuls including Alise, Sam Willoughby, Denzel Stein, Kyle Bennett, Khalen Young, Corben Sharrah and many more!
ALL of Alise’s sponsors are on board donating a wide variety of items including:
Redline Bicycles Complete BMX bike, hats, t-shirts
JBL/Harman Ipod Dock, ear buds, computer speakers
go211.com hats, t-shirts, sunglasses

As most of you know, Colleen and Joel Stark-Haws were 2 of Alise’s phenomanal gymnastics coaches at Tech High School. They helped lead Alise and the Tech team to 4 consecutive State 2nd Place Team finishes and Alise to 3 individual State Titles as well.
The Stark-Haws family also became avid BMX racers and dedicated volunteers at Pineview Park BMX for many years, primarily running concessions along with positively mentoring new racers and conducting community ed classes.
Colleen and Joel lead by example and naturally command respect by the way they live. They walk the walk, expecting you rise to every challenge before you. Needless to say, they always inspire and challenge you to be the best you can be, not only as an athlete, but more importantly as a person. Less than a 100% effort is never an option and their standards are extremely high.
Colleen never complains about her difficult fight with MS, but she expects you to give your best without complaint, in return. As EVERYONE who has ever met her and her family would say, "They are genuinely amazing and inspiring people".
It’s time for Alise, our family and the Pineview Park BMX family to honor Colleen’s fight and give back by generously raising funds for the MS Society and help find a cure for MS.
Please "Accept The Challenge" and participate in the "1st Annual BMX-MS Race For the Cure" on Monday, 5/31/10 at Pineview Park BMX in St. Cloud, MN or if you cannot make it to this fantastic event, you may make a generous donation.
