Novant Healthcare BMX Supercross in Rock Hill, SC played host to three amazing events over the weekend: The USA Cycling Elite National Championship, USABMX Carolina Nationals, and the UCI Continental Championships. Justin Lindine, who never even raced a singlespeed ’cross race at Nationals (he did contest the SSCXWC this year), dominated the 2015 Men’s Singlespeed race from the start on a cobbled-together a Redline Conquest Team carbon frame with a converted drivetrain. Cyclocross magazine reviews how he built up a Redline carbon Conquest. The frame is a 48 cm and Justin got the weight down to 15.5 lbs. Calling all cave huckers, Kentucky’s Louisville Mega Cavern is about to open as a 320,000-square-foot underground bike park. It will feature 45 trails, a BMX park, pump tracks, dual slalom and singletrack all in a former limestone cavern 100 feet sub-surface. The park is slated for a “soft opening” on Monday the 9th, and reservations are requested in advance. Bring your own bike for now, rentals will be set up as early as next month.

Redline Bicycle’s Josh Hult and Brandon Dosch hammered thru 51 hours of riding and editing with Terrell Gordy for this EPIC entry to the 2014 Ray’s MTB Odd Couple contest. The contest consisted of teams comprised of two riders (one MTB, one BMX) and a videographer. The riders and videographer arrived at the park midweek and had to shoot and edit a 3 minute movie to be shown for judging on Saturday night.
